What are the benefits of an in-home Daycare?

Flexibility is our first superpower- we love to maximize outdoor play, and are mindful of the children’s individual interests and needs while planning daily activities and meals. Our small preschool will prepare your child for kindergarten and teach them the basics of reading, fine motor and writing practice, science, art, and more! We also emphasize guided play-based learning throughout the day to help your child develop crucial interpersonal skills through social coaching and imaginative play with their peers. These skills will benefit your child for the rest of their life! Another benefit to in-home care is sibling interaction! We strive to help your children feel at home with their “second family” while in our care, and keeping siblings together is a definite plus!

What ages do you provide care for?

We regularly care for infants 3 months up about 12 years of age. We love the family dynamic as the kids learn to truly bond with other age groups and help each other throughout the day.

Do you accept state funding?

Yes! Please send us a message at LearningBlocksDaycareABC@gmail.com or call/Text (801) 289-6215 for more information about that.

Do you potty train?

Yes! The potty training process usually starts at about 3 years old when the child is able to communicate well, and pull their own pants down to climb up on the toilet. We are happy to help with the process and have potty trained many children at our daycare.

What schools do you provide transportation to?

For the School year of 2025-2026 we will be transporting to and from Forbes Elementary, Greenwood Elementary, and Meadow Elementary. We also do morning drop off at Mountain Sunrise Academy (no pickup). Please contact us with inquiries about accommodations for any other schools.

What training do your teachers receive?

Before working with the children, each caregiver will pass a background check and complete a special training as required by Child Care Licensing in the state of Utah. In addition, we hold monthly trainings to discuss specific needs of the children entrusted to our care and stay up to date on all the best childcare practices. Our teachers are hand picked to be kind, fun, patient, and dependable.

How do you provide reliable care?

If an employee is unable to show up for work our amazing staff will help cover additional shifts. We also utilize a substituting agency called Upkids where we can find professionally qualified and trained daycare subs at the drop of a hat. We set our calendar days off about a year in advance so there won’t be any surprises in our schedule. We are closed for major holidays and one day out of both fall and spring break.

Which daycare would be better for my child?

There are a couple differences between the daycare locations. Both are great!

Let’s begin with some of the strengths of Little Sproutz :

  • Great visibility from room to room and outdoors
  • Three nap rooms allow for more flexibility with children’s sleep schedules
  • The daycare is on the main level of the house and uses the front entrance
  • School age kids are able to move indoor and outdoors freely
  • Yard includes a deck, play structure with swings and slide, air plane see saw, and climbing dome.
  • Close to the Lehi Mainstreet Freeway Exit number 279

Next, the strengths of Learning Blocks:

  • giant outdoor play area including:
    • Lots of grass and running space
    • Playground with wood chips, slides, seesaw, picnic bench
    • Circle tree swing (this is the kids favorite part!)
    • Toy shed and sandbox
    • Bike riding area
    • Outdoor bathroom and drinking fountain
    • Pergola and ample shade trees.
  • Older school aged kids enjoy their own separate “art room” away from the rest of the kids for quieter activities
  • Direct access from the 500 east freeway exit number 276

Both daycares have summer field trips, participate in the helping hands food program, plan daily lessons during the school year, and host holiday celebrations for the kiddos throughout the year. We would love to meet your family!
